Casper Shafer Family Website
This site is dedicated to the memory of the first patriarch of this Shafer family in the United States. Casper Shaver (1712~1784) and his wife, Maria Catrina Bernhardt (1721~1794). Both originally from Germany; they settled at Stillwater, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA.

THE HARMONY METHODIST CHURCH in Stillwater Township, also known as Stillwater Methodist Church, began as a group of twelve members organized in 1802 by Reverend Elijah Woolsey and Reverend Gamaliel Bailey of the Flanders Circuit of the Methodist Church.

Windemuth Family Reunion
Walter Johns Wintermute is the founder of the Wintermute Family Reunion. He first got the idea for a reunion back in the 1930\'s. .... The date of the reunion was set for the Labor Day weekend in 1981. The place was to be Stillwater, New Jersey, and was to be held on the old homestead of one of the original Emigrators, John George Wintermute.
