On Sunday, June 4th, 2006, a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new bridge across the 'Kill in Stillwater. The County Freeholders, members of the Stillwater Township Committee, and other dignitaries took part along with local citizens including our own Elsie Roof who was a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for the replacement of the bridge for over 15 years.

Following the ceremony there was a parade of scout groups, fire departments, the first aid squad and others down through the center of town to the school grounds to start this year's Stillwater Festival.

Members of the Historical Society of Stillwater Twp, Edie Lambert and Carolyn Celli, position buntings on the bridge before the ceremony
